READER REVIEWS:

The Abolitionist's Daughter, by Diane C. McPhail

The Abolitionist’s Daughter is an intricate, involved story of family, of the misunderstandings and divided loyalties that result in unapproachable rifts, and of the cost of freedom. Freedom from doubt, freedom of choice, freedom to love. The backstory of a country at war with itself and the verdant glory that is the lower Mississippi delta make this a book to savor.”

Eden, by Jeanne McWilliams Blasberg

“A thrilling, atmospheric and mesmerizing family saga. This is a FABULOUS read! Blasberg takes us behind a rosy curtain of wealth and social prominence to a driving, twisting, compelling family story of four generations filled with secrets, jealousies, heartache, desire, and a tendency to repeat the mistakes of those relatives who came before.”

Grace in Mombasa, by Tracy Traynor

“A touching, feel good story. This is one of the most beautiful stories I’ve read in a long time. The story follows a girl named Grace along her life’s journey as the daughter of a Vicar during WWII and beyond to where she finally ends up. Once I started reading I was quite captivated and I devoured this in one weekend. I highly recommend this!”

A Veil Removed, by Michelle Cox

A Veil Removed, by Michelle Cox is real page turner. I couldn’t put it down. It’s the fourth in a series about Henrietta and the Inspector. It can be enjoyed on its own. It is filled with an absorbing mystery and a lovely romance. The book has accurate historical material from Chicago in the 30’s. The characters are clearly written and I feel that I know them personally.”

We Are of Dust, by Clare Coombes

“A solid and heartbreaking little gem. The first thing that stands out in We Are Of Dust is that the story is based on true events. It shows that the author has investigated the details painstakingly and I could really appreciate how we are able to see multiple sides of the war with the help of the different characters.”

Josie, by Susan Lowe

“I can say that reading this book felt like watching a movie clip. The fear these people felt and the courage they had to overcome this fear is remarkable. I don’t know what I would have done in the situation. This is a terrible time in history but it shows God’s magnificent grace. This is well written.”
